Howelsen Hill Extends Season

Originally scheduled to close on March 16th, 2014, the Howelsen Hill Ski Area will now re-open the following weekend March 22nd and 23rd for public alpine skiing.  The ski area will be closed Monday through Friday March 17th to 21st to public skiing.  Additionally, the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club will be hosting the Smartwool Alpine Slalom Championship Races on March 22nd and 23rd.  The Poma lift and Boardwalk Magic Carpet will be running from 8:00am to 4:00pm and snow conditions may limit the amount of terrain open to public skiing.

Snow conditions permitting, the Howelsen Hill Nordic Center will continue to groom Nordic trails and operate until March 30th   Season passes or tickets are required and can be purchased at the concession stand during alpine operational hours, the vending machine or at the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club office upstairs at the Lodge.
