River’s Rising: Musicians Collaborate to Aid Flood Victims

Musical artists nationwide – including Further, Railroad Earth, Umphrey’s McGee, Slightly Stoopid, Yonder Mountain String Band, Devotchka, The String Cheese Incident, and many more – have come together to create a flood relief album called “River’s Rising: Front Range Flood Relief 2013.”  The project was organized by Tony Hume of Leftover Salmon, who recorded the title track, “River’s Rising” (a new acoustic version of their popular show-stopper) in the wake of the front range floods. For all the artists on the album, Colorado is a home of sorts (whether the bands originated here or not), and the residents of Colorado a family. As Hume put it, “I’m doing this for our state, for our people.”

All proceeds from the sale of the album ($15 for an mp3 download or $20 for a FLAC or ALAC download) will go to Foothills United Way.
